Baby Beach Essentials
1. Sit-Me-Up Baby Chair
This play chair was a game-changer for us. Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it allows your baby to be comfortable and secure while also being ground level. This chair folds up nicely, comes with toys attached and the seat pad is machine washable.
2. Pop ‘N Sit Booster Chair
This booster chair is perfect for meal time or to simply get baby off the sand for awhile. It has 3 modes of use: floor seat, feeding seat with removable tray, and toddler booster. You’ll love the bonus rear storage pocket for essentials like baby wipes or spoons.
3. Beach Cart w/ Heavy Duty Wheels
This cart is amazing! I can’t scream this loud enough….do not take your stroller or a wagon to the beach! You’ll find it extremely difficult to maneuver on the lumpy sand or if you encounter stairs. This cart has extra wide 10 inch tread wheels and a convenient removable tote with a shoulder strap plus a side umbrella holder. It’s so easy to throw everything in for easy trips to and from the beach.
4. Baby Beach Tent
A tent for shade is critical to protect baby’s skin. If you don’t have a large beach tent and are more of an umbrella family, I’d recommend purchasing this. This anti-UV rating of 50+, folds and comes with pegs to secure the tent to the ground or sand. Baby can use this to play or rest while being protected from sun, wind and sand.
5. Baby Pool Float w/ Canopy
You’ll love putting baby in this floaty! It’s so much fun and creates cute family memories in the pool. Made for children 9-24 months old, the canopy provides 60-degree protection and is adjustable to provide shade from the sun. A baby beach essentials must have.
6. Beach Blanket
This beach blanket is great for protecting baby’s skin against the scratchy sand. It’s extra large, easy to throw in your beach bag, quick drying and lightweight. It comes with 6 stakes that keep your blanket secure in the sand.
7. Beach Toys w/ Backpack Bag
You’ll want to buy beach toys that come with a bag and straps to be as hands-free as possible going to and from your beach house. This set has everything needed to have fun in the sun as a family.
8. Portable Pack N’ Play
I’ve gone on beach trips with and without a pack n’ play and I can say without a doubt TAKE ONE. You won’t regret having baby in a secure and comfortable bed every night. The key is finding a pack n’ play that is compact, has a bag with strap and won’t take up too much room in the car during traveling. This one is a winner!
9. Pack N’ Play Mattress
Taking a pack n’ play mattress won’t always be doable depending on how packed your car is but we’ve never regretted taking it. Baby will sleep soundly and comfortably each night.
10. Swim Diapers
A must-have! It’s important to select swim diapers that are made with soft and waterproof material so baby avoids diaper rash. After some trials and errors, I can say Pampers will be a brand baby will love and you can trust.
11. On-The-Go, Diaper Trash Bags
Disposable diaper bags will be your friend on any trip. Changing dirty diapers during travel or at the beach can be messy and you’ll love having a bag to toss everything into, especially if a trash can isn’t near. This clip on bag holder of 12 retracts, rips easily and has a lavender scent for freshness.
12. Water Bottle Sprayer Attachment
This product is a game-changer and you’ll be so happy you purchased them. Trying to change a diaper with sand in baby’s every crease is the most difficult task that often leads to diaper rash. Even my newborn had sand in his diaper and he could barley wiggle around. Attach a sprayer attachment to your water bottle to rinse baby’s bottom off before putting a new diaper on.
13. First Aid Kit
It’s always a good idea to have a first-aid kit with you on trips. This super cute kit can easily clip to your bag for easy access. Includes band-aids, ointment, tweezers and more.
14. Zip-Up Rashguards
These are so cute and will keep baby boy covered and protected from the sun. Long sleeves is the way to go and you’ll love how fast drying these are.
15. Boy 2-Piece Swimsuit
One-pieces can help keep sand out but you’ll be really happy you bought a two-piece when doing diaper changes on the beach. It’s so much easier to just slip these swim shorts on and off. Plus baby will look adorable.
16. Girl Swimsuit w/ Hat
How cute is this swimsuit for baby girl?! This swim outfit comes with a matching hat, convenient back zipper closure and adorable ruffles. Baby will be feeling extra comfortable in this breathable material.
17. Swimsuit Cover Up
You’ll want a cover-up if baby will be rocking sleeveless swimsuits. The soft terry material will keep her so snuggly.
18. Hooded Beach Towel
Traditional beach towels are too big and the material isn’t quite as cozy as these breathable cute hooded towels. They are easy to pack and perfect for the beach or bath time.
19. Wide Brim Girl Beach Hat
This baby girl sun hat is made of high quality cotton for maximum comfort and provides amazing sun protection. Not to mention it’ll be the perfect accessory for adorable beach pictures.
20. Bucket Boy Beach Hat
So cute! This baby boy hat is made with UPF 50+ sun protective fabric material. It’s breathable mesh lining will keep your baby’s head cool, dry and ventilated.
21. Waterproof Bags
These bags are the best. You’ll want a two-pack so you can designate one bag for wet swimsuits and the other for items like diapers and food pouches. The strap handle has a snap closure that allows you to attach these bags to your beach cart, backpack or tote.
22. Portable Bluetooth Speaker
The sound of the ocean will be your baby’s natural sound machine but this comes in super good handy for times you’re at restaurants, shopping beach shops or wanting to play fun tunes relaxing in your beach chair. It’s waterproof with up to 10 hours of battery life. You’ll love how compact it is too.
23. Portable Fan w/ Stand
This rechargeable fan is so easy to toss in your bag and use to keep baby cool. It’s handheld but also stands on it’s own which is great for baby nap times. This will be a baby beach essentials you’ll want multiple of.
24. Food Pouches
Pouches are the way to go! Avoid baby puree jars when possible. You won’t believe how messy they can be with the wind and sand. If baby can’t eat one on his/her own yet, pack a spoon and squeeze some on the spoon for feedings.
25. No Spill Cup w/ Straw
If your baby is old enough to also be drinking water, these spill proof and easy to hold cups are fantastic. The straw closes to keep sand out and the straw clean.
26. Food Storage Containers
These stackable snack containers will save you so much space in your cooler or beach bag. Easy to pack little fruit pieces for baby to nibble on as well as snacks for you. A baby beach essentials the entire family benefits from.
27. Disposable Bibs
An item you don’t appreciate until you have them…disposable bibs! The first time we traveled with baby we were running out of bibs so quickly because there was no quick way to wash them. These are life savers!
28. Cooler Bag w/ Shoulder Strap
Carrying your diaper bag to the beach can be a lot and you’ll hate how much sand gets in it. This reusable lunch bag is so cute and the perfect way to keep your drinks and lunch items separate from everything else.
29. Travel Size Wipes
Do not pack a big pack of wipes to the beach. You’ll want something small to throw in your bag to wipe hands and faces off. This 25-pack is the best.
30. Baby Safe Sunscreen
It is not recommend for babies to wear traditional sunscreen until 6 months of age due to chemicals. This sunscreen provides effective SPF 50+ sun protection specifically for babies. The broad spectrum UVA & UVB baby sunblock is suitable for daily use on infants’ sensitive skin, offering gentle defense against the sun’s rays.
31. Baby Safe Aloe Vera
No one plans on baby getting burnt but just in case…have this handy! The sun tends to get baby’s little feet or cheeks when you least expect it.
32. Dusting Powder
Highly recommend using this often to keep baby’s bottom dry and smooth. Diaper rash is no ones friend on vacation.
33. Travel Size Aquaphor
The OG of all ointments. I would recommend these travel size tubes so you can easily have one on the go at all times. Diaper rash can be tougher to get rid of when up against salt water and sand.
34. Baby Vapor Wipes
The air at the beach can cause congestion. These wipes can be used to clean baby’s nose, moisten dry skin and be used in place of chest balm to help breathing.
